S01E11: 'Fallout'
Claire is told by her father that he knew of her powers for a long time. Mr Bennet then discovers that both Zach and Lyle also know – and their memories are later erased, much to Claire’s frustration.

Bennet then speaks to Sylar in his cell, claiming that he has now become insane through absorbing so many powers and that he will be taken apart and studied. Eden is keen to use her powers to make Sylar kill himself, but Bennet says they must keep him alive.

Eden then gives artist Isaac a phone, which he uses to call Hiro and Ando to arrange a meeting. They hook up at the diner where Isaac speaks of an ‘exploding man’ and reveals that Sylar – who killed Hiro’s beloved Charlie – has been captured. Isaac then has a vision and paints a picture of Hiro with a sword confronting a dinosaur. This prompts Hiro to start a quest to find the sword.

Peter, held in a cell after the events at Claire’s school, has a vision of his brother Nathan visiting and turning into Sylar. Once awoken, he is questioned by Audrey and Matt, although the mind-readers abilities are thwarted because Peter has the power to ‘borrow’ any powers nearby. This simply leads to lots of mental feedback. Peter speaks about Sylar and the cheerleader, which prompts the officers to seek out Claire for her own protection.

Niki’s alter-ego Jessica is in pursuit of Hawkins and shoots him as he tries to protect Micah. She tracks them through the woods and pretend to be Niki to Micah, only to be ambushed by Hawkins and hit with a spade. Fighting back, Jessica catapults Micah onto some nearby rocks when he tries to intervene. This prompts Niki to enter the scene in place of Jessica and she goes over to check on her son’s well-being. She then hands herself into the police claiming to be a murderer in a bid to stop Jessica taking over and going on the rampage again.

Shortly after speaking to her father and letting him know that others have lost their memories, Claire is confronted by The Haitian. He confesses to being responsible to wiping the memories and explains that Mr Bennet has instructed him to do the same with the cheerleader. However, he refuses to do so and says it’s very important that she be able to remember.

Eden calls Mohinder, now back in New York and subsequently decides to avenge the death of his father by heading to Sylar’s cell to make him kill himself by using her mind control powers. Suddenly, Sylar manages to send Eden flying through the cell glass and explains that he will absorb her powers. Before he can do so, she puts a gun to her head and pulls the trigger.

Peter, now released from custody, falls to the ground and wakes up to find New York in the midst of some kind of apocalypse. Other superheroes observe him, some running away in a grief-stricken state. He then begins to glow orange and becomes the ‘exploding man’ that Isaac earlier painted. Peter then wakes up from his vision, stating that the explosion is his fault.
