S01E07: 'Nothing to Hide'

'Nothing To Hide' is an enjoyable enough episode, but one that makes you feel like the show hasn't quite hit its stride yet despite the early promise. Gradually the Heroes are coming together, with Hiro and Hawkins randomly encountering each other in explosive circumstances, whilst Matt's discovery of the affair is also a clever example of how the powers can be a curse. Yet away from that we have a lot of musing, which is a comedown after the thrilling climax to the last episode.
The name of Mr Linderman continues to crop up and tease us. At times, this unseen figure makes us think he's like a spider sitting in the middle of events, with all the other characters caught in the web around him. In addition, the police are still on the hunt for Sylar and so are we - the viewers.
The foundations are clearly being laid for later, more explosive events and therefore a focus on characterisation is understandable. The pay-off certainly promises to be fun, but seven episodes into Heroes we're starting to crave more results. Let's hope the show delivers before the frustration sets in. It's time to have a little patience I guess, as Take That would croon...
