S01E10: 'Six Months Ago'

Who would have thought that the vicious Sylar we’ve seen prize out the brains of cheerleaders and waitresses started life as an insecure watchmaker called Gabriel? We also know more about what a devious sod this Mr Lenderman chap is, being seemingly responsible for Nathan’s wife being later confined to a wheelchair. Surely it can’t be long until he makes an appearance in the flesh?
Our emotions were skilfully manipulated by the heartbreaking news that Hiro discovers about Charlie. To make things worse, as soon as he lunges in for a snog he teleports back to the present before much saliva can be traded. Poor guy.
Zooming back in time for an ‘in the beginning’ style episode is definitely a creative risk from the makers of Heroes as it takes us out of the present day plotline that has only just started to kick up some real pace in recent weeks. However, thanks to some very clever plotting and cunningly contrived character backstories, ‘Six Months Ago’ works a real treat.
