The actor, who earlier in the week was rumoured to be negotiating a new deal along with Evangeline Lilly, is now on parity with the stars of ABC's Desperate Housewives.
Fox is expected to earn $225,000 per episode, up from his last deal, believed to be in the region of $150,000.
The remaining members of the Lost cast are also in the process of negotiating fresh contracts.
The fifth season of Lost, which commences production on Monday, will debut on ABC in January.
