The pilot episode, which aired back in 2004, did not show Henry Ian Cusick's alter ego on the Oceanic Airlines flight, but season six's opener revealed him to be on the plane.
"We will answer that question very shortly in the show," Cuse told TV Guide. "It will absolutely be clear whether he was on the plane or not."
Fellow exec Damon Lindelof recently admitted that the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle will not be prominent through the show's sixth and final season. Instead, he said that the current season is about answering more important questions.
Lost continues Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC in the US and Fridays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.
