Yunjin Kim has claimed that the writers of Lost want fans to be angry.

During the latest episode of the show, the actress's character Sun and her husband Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) are killed by an explosion. The couple had only recently reunited.

However, Kim explained that the show's creators wanted fans to have a strong reaction to the deaths.

"I think that's where the writers wanted the fans to be - to be very angry at Locke," she told TV Guide. "It's just the way the story needs to end. Then again, I think the fans will realise that it's not the end of Sun and Jin's storyline. We still have flash sideways. Our story doesn't just end with the death in the submarine. It will continue until the end."

Kim added that the finale will be a "very nice closure" to the couple's "long journey" but added: "We'll see [if they get a happy ending]. I believe in happy endings, but this is Lost, so you never know."

Kim also explained that she often feels emotional about Lost coming to an end.

"It's very bittersweet," she said. "It's great that I survived six years of Lost, literally meaning my character has survived to the very end. I'm proud to be a part of this amazing journey. I have my emotional days, but some days I'm really good and I'm really looking forward to what's coming next."

Lost continues Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC in the US and Fridays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.
