ABC attempts to boost 'Lost'

ABC will replace sitcoms with repeat airings of Lost for the next two Wednesdays in an attempt to boost ratings for first-run episodes of the cult hit.
According to Jim and In Case of Emergency will make way for the re-runs on February 14 and February 21. The move follows a similar experiment last week in which a Lost encore came close to doubling the sitcom ratings in the 9pm hour.
Lost's ratings have declined nearly 8% from its third season premiere since returning from a mid-season break; however, the show remains a strong performer in ABC's lineup.
