Best known for playing inventor Ben Jabituya in the Short Circuit films, 43-year-old Stevens will take on the role of Minkowski in the cult series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This mysterious character's voice was heard in the third season finale, telling the survivors they would be rescued after Jack made contact with him using Naomi's satellite phone.
The fourth season of Lost will air from February 2008.
