Light Summary: In the season premiere episode one of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle.

The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But, as they have discovered during their 40-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets.












































Full Summary: A mysterious man is awoken and makes his way toward a computer at which he types. After turning on 'Mama Cass', he washes the dishes, completes his fitness regime, has a shower, sees to the laundry and makes breakfast. Who is he?

Flashback: Jack tends to a car accident victim and takes the relevant measures in order to save their life.

The group debate as to whether to descend into the hatch. The gratifying feeling Locke has from opening it isn't mutual especially when Kate points out a marking the side …

Hurley explains to Jack how he thinks the hatch is cursed because of the numbers and his experience with them. Will Jack believe him?

Flashback: Jack has cross words with his father over what to tell the car crash victim. Will he give her the hope that his father ushers him to offer?

Shannon is hysterical as she tries to explain to the rest of the group what she saw and heard. It seems that nobody believes her. Jack reveals the existence of the hatch to the remaining survivors. How will they react?

Locke, meanwhile, gets tired of waiting – he's going down there…

Flashback: Jack explains to the fiancé of the crash victim, Sarah, the possible side effects of her accident. Will Jack be able to go through with his promise to 'fix' her so she can dance at her wedding?

Locke and Kate prepare to make their way down into the depths of the hatch. Will Kate make is down safely?

Flashback: While running in the sports stadium, Jack hurts his ankle and bumps into a stranger in the process…

Meanwhile, Jack makes his way down into the hatch to the sound of 'Mama Cass' as Locke emerges from the next room with a gun to his neck…

Flashback: Jack sits with the crash victim as she wakes from her operation. Has it been a success?

A confrontation down in the hatch results in realisation hitting for Jack…
