S03E13: 'The Man from Tallahassee'
Locke’s flashback sees him visited by a young man called Peter enquiring whether he is suspicious of a man called Anthony Cooper – Locke’s father - who is planning on marrying his mother under a false name. Peter says he tracked him down because of his kidney donation, which Locke claims to have given anonymously. Cooper is then paid a visit by his embittered son and told to call off the wedding, or else the horrible truth about his family-wrecking past will be revealed.

Back in the present day, Kate sneaks into Jack’s accommodation, but is told to leave immediately as there is video surveillance. Before she can do so, she is captured by the Others along with Sayid. However, Locke evades detection and breaks into wheelchair-bound Ben’s house. He wants to know where the submarine is, but is interrupted by Alex who he also holds prisoner at gunpoint. Locke then sends her to discreetly pick up Sayid’s backpack. When she does so, her mother Rousseau – who she believes to be dead – sees her from afar.

Jack later tells Kate that he has made a deal with the Others that enables him to go home, where he will then arrange for his fellow plane crash survivors to be rescued from the island.

Ben figures out that Locke wants to destroy the submarine – fearful that his newfound ability to walk will disappear once he leaves the island. Ben then stuns Locke by revealing knowledge of his life. Soon, the submarine is indeed destroyed and Ben reveals that he was happy for the destruction, as it means the Others now have no means of escaping either.

In the flashback, Locke discovers that Peter has been murdered and pays his father a visit. Cooper denies any knowledge and says he’s called the wedding off, inviting his son to phone Peter’s mother. As he goes to do so, Cooper charges Locke and sends him flying out of a window eight stories high.

When Locke awakes, he discovers that he is unable to walk and that his father has fled to Mexico. Back on the island however, Locke is led to a room by Ben that contains a very shocked Cooper tied to a chair…
