S04E10: 'Something Nice Back Home'

Jack is diagnosed with appendicitis by Juliet and needs an urgent operation. Daniel and Charlotte are sent to the Dharma medical station to find the relevant tools, followed by Jin at gunpoint. The surgery is successful, despite Jack's desire to remain awake.

In the jungle, Miles uncovers the buried bodies of Rousseau and Karl after psychically hearing screams. Frank turns up and warns Miles, along with Sawyer, Claire and her baby, to hide in the bushes as Widmore's mercenaries are nearby. Claire later has a vision of her father Christian, also Jack's dad, and leaves her baby to follow him into the jungle.

In flashforwards, Jack is living with Kate and the child Aaron. He thinks he sees a glimpse of his deceased father and then visits Hurley in a mental institution. Hurley passes on a message that he claims is from Charlie: "You're not supposed to raise him."

Jack later proposes to Kate and she accepts, but he soon fears for his own mental wellbeing after seeing more visions of his father. He grows increasingly jealous about Kate's secretive behaviour and makes her admit that she was carrying out a request from Sawyer, who opted to stay on the island.
