The actress, who played Donna Martin in the original series, had announced her involvement with the new CW show in May this year.
However, a CW representative has now confirmed: "The CW has no deal with Tori Spelling to appear on 90210 at this time."
A spokesperson for Spelling also released a statement to confirm the reports, citing "personal reasons" for her decision.
Sources have suggested that the news follows a pay dispute between Spelling and the network. While her former co-stars Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) and Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh) have deals of between $40,000 and $50,000 per episode, the actress was reportedly set to receive less than $20,000 per episode.
90210 premieres on September 2 in the US.
