The CW blocks '90210' media screeners

The CW has chosen not to send out screeners for its upcoming series 90210, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Traditionally, previews are dispatched to critics and members of the press prior to the broadcast of a show's premiere episode. However, The CW has opted to withhold screeners ahead of the show's September 2 premiere, leading to speculation about the quality of the show.
A statement from the network said: "The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen 90210 for any media in advance of its premiere.
"We're not hiding anything - simply keeping a lid on 90210 until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night and letting all our constituents see it at the same time."
