Doherty confirms '90210' return

Shannen Doherty has confirmed rumours that she will be returning to the Beverly Hills spinoff show 90210.

The actress, who played Brenda Walsh in the 1990s original, returned to The CW's remake earlier in the season to reprise the role.

Now, a representative has confirmed to OK that she will be back on set for episodes 11 and 12.

Doherty said of returning to the franchise: "I've worked for 27 years, steadily, thanks to very loyal fans. What’s the one way to say thank you? To play a character that you thought you’d never play again in the one show they want to see."

Jason Priestley, who played Doherty's on-screen twin, is also returning to direct an episode of the show.
