TV Line says that the actress, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the 1970 movie MASH, has landed a multi-episode arc in the drama.
She is expected to play Marla, a former movie star who is suffering from dementia and has become a hoarder.
Marla hires Annie (Shenae Grimes) to help her clear out her house, but further details of the storyline have not yet been released.
90210 continues on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW in the US and on Tuesdays at 9pm on E4 in the UK.
