'Beverly Hills, 90210' spinoff in the works

The network will look at a script from Veronica Mars writer Rob Thomas and decide whether to go to pilot by the end of this month.
Details, including whether any characters or actors from the original will transfer, are yet to be announced. The first 90210 soap ran from 1990-2000 and followed the lives of a group of wealthy teens.
The spinoff is being made by CBS Paramount Network TV, of which original producer Spelling TV is now a part.
