Reports emerged earlier this month that the Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin comedy had been renewed for a seventh and final season, but now an NBC boss has come out to say that these reports are untrue.
NBC entertainment president Bob Greenblatt has stated that there have been no decisions regarding final seasons for either 30 Rock or other popular NBC series The Office.
"We haven't definitely said that to any of them yet," Greenblatt told TV Guide.
He also added that with the departure of Office castmember Mindy Kaling to film her own sitcom Mindy, fans of the comedy should "expect some new faces to drop in".
30 Rock joins The Office, Up All Night and Parks and Recreation in a brand new Thursday comedy block this fall.
