Jackson announced the nominations yesterday alongside Mike & Molly star Melissa McCarthy, but his co-star John Noble was not recognised for his performance as Walter Bishop.
"Somebody's got to nominate John Noble," the actor told Hollyscoop. "It's just getting silly now. It's time, let's do this!"
Fringe picked up just one Emmy nomination in total, in the category of 'Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media'.
Kirk Acevedo, who plays Charlie Francis on the show, previously suggested that Fringe is worthy of Emmy recognition, singling out John Noble and Anna Torv (Olivia Dunham) for particular praise.
"[Anna] busts her ass on that show," said Acevedo. "And John Noble does, too. John definitely busts his ass on that show. They should both get at least a little something."
Fringe will return to Fox on September 23.
