'The Inbetweeners'
Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have secured a pilot commitment from the network.
The Inbetweeners revolves around four male friends who struggle their way through school, in limbo between the popular kids and the geeks.
Beesley told The Hollywood Reporter: "We wanted to do a comedy about the reality of high school, how pedestrian life can be at that age.
"It's an awkward age when you're trying to break the shackles but you can't achieve your grand plans. You're not equipped to do that."
Morris and Beesley will move out to Los Angeles to script the pilot, and plan to visit US high schools for research.
