"As far as story goes, we certainly have concepts of bringing us into season four, and I even have concepts I haven't shared with anybody about season five," Mazzara told Assignment X.
"I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but I think about this stuff constantly."
The exec producer added that he does also "have a plan in mind" as to how The Walking Dead will eventually conclude.
"A lot of that [plan] is thematic and conceptual," he explained. "I come up with emotional feeling I want people to take away each season and probably the series. I have that in mind."
The Walking Dead airs on FX in the UK and on AMC in the US.
