The singer was eliminated from the competition during Tuesday night's live broadcast, when Reid chose his fellow artists Brian Bradley, Marcus Canty and Chris Rene to proceed into the Top 12 instead.
Lomax has said that while he was "disappointed" with his early exit from The X Factor, he ultimately viewed the experience as a positive one.
"I'm obviously disappointed, but I have to look at this in a positive light and realise that I've accomplished what not many people have," he explained to MTV News.
"I think [LA] is an outstanding guy. I wish that he made a different decision, obviously, but he could only take three, and those three guys are outstanding as well. It's a shame he didn't pick me."
Lomax also stood behind his performance of The Monkees' 'I'm A Believer', adding: "I thought it was a good song. Definitely out of my comfort zone, but I decided to go with what my mentor told me to do and I had faith. I still have faith. I'm still a believer."
