InTENsity have become the first act from the Top 12 to be eliminated in X Factor USA's first season.

The group, which was put together from a selection of soloists during Boot Camp, fell into the bottom two during Thursday night's live results show alongside Stereo Hogzz after the pair were revealed to have received the lowest number of public votes.

Both acts sang again for judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and LA Reid, with Stereo Hogzz taking on The Bee Gees' classic 'Emotions'. Meanwhile, InTENsity chose to cover Kelly Clarkson's 'My Life Would Suck Without You'.

Only Cowell voted to save InTENsity, with Abdul, Scherzinger and Reid all naming Stereo Hogzz as the stronger act.

"I need you to all know that you're winners. It is a competition but it's not a normal one. It's more than $5 million, you're winning fans," Abdul said before revealing her choice.

Scherzinger added: "Each one of you, I'm so proud of you. You're stars in your own right but the other group was a little more prepared."

The acts remaining in the competition are Marcus Canty, Drew Ryniewicz, LeRoy Bell, Astro, Lakoda Rayne, Rachel Crow, Chris Rene, Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro, Stacy Francis and Stereo Hogzz.

Tonight's episode also included a performance by Outasight with his hit single 'Tonight Is The Night'.

The X Factor USA continues Wednesday at 8/7c on Fox.
