Contestants including Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik will take to the stage for their third live performance in a bid to impress judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, LA Reid and Paula Abdul and secure enough public votes to advance to next week.
X Factor USA's winner will secure a $5 million recording contract with Sony Music/Syco and the chance to appear in a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial.
The remainder of The X Factor USA finalists are: Rachel Crow, Drew Ryniewicz, Astro, Marcus Canty, LeRoy Bell, Stacy Francis, Lakoda Rayne and The Stereo Hogzz.
Jessie J and Willow Smith will appear on the following night's (Thursday) results show, before another act is sent home. Jessie J will perform her track 'Domino', while Smith will treat viewers to a rendition of 'Fireball'.
Tonight's official online live pre-show will be co-hosted by former X Factor USA contestant Phillip Lomax, who was eliminated by his mentor Reid on the first live performance show of the season.
Abdul's group inTENsity became the first victims of the public vote on last week's results show when they were eliminated after falling into the bottom two alongside Stereo Hogzz.
