Abdul had to say goodbye to her group The Stereo Hogzz after they fell into the bottom two alongside her other remaining group Lakoda Rayne. She lost another group, inTENsity, last week.
Stereo Hogzz and Lakoda Rayne both sang for survival before the judges chose who to eliminate.
Abdul became tearful and refused to send home either of her acts, a decision which was supported by Simon Cowell.
The singer and choreographer then decided to send home Lakoda Rayne in an effort to even the voting, however it was Stereo Hogzz who departed the show with votes from Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and LA Reid.
Writing on her Twitter account after the show, she said: "Simon Cowell, thank you for being so compassionate tonight. Thank you for being such a great & true friend to me and congratulations to you.
"[Your acts] Drew, Rachel & Melanie have immeasurable talent & your work with them shows."
She added: "I know this was a tough night for every judge on the panel tonight."
Abdul continued: "Thank you @NicoleScherzy for your support & handling it so flawlessly, my sincerest congratulations to you & to all your acts tonight, @NicoleScherzy - i truly adore you, & Stacy, LeRoy & Josh are awesome! xoP
"@LA_Reid Chris Rene, Astro, & Marcus are so talented & I applaud you as their mentor. thank you for your honesty, tonight... I cannot help but remain grateful for the honour of sharing the panel with you @LA_Reid --an icon of the music industry. xoP."
Abdul also thanked host Steve Jones for how he handled her initial refusal to cast a vote, saying: "You know I adore you, you're doing such an awesome job. Tonight was difficult - I know I threw you a curve ball. You handled it like a champ.
"Thank you @SteveJones for always being the consummate gentleman, even under pressure. xoP."
The judge also told fans that she "adored" all of her contestants and said it was "so painful" to have to eliminate anyone.
She added: "Thank you for all your support! I adore all of the contestants I've been working with. Still, at the end of the day this is a competition... I'm confident that the groups I had to let go now have the tools to make names for themselves."
In a separate message to The Stereo Hogzz, who performed Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone' as their survival song, she said that was "proud" to have gotten to know them and predicted great things in their future.
"It's been an honour & a privilege to help clear your path so you can now get the attention you so rightfully deserve!" she added.
Stereo Hogzz, meanwhile, reacted to their departure on their own Twitter account, writing: "SPIRITS STILL LIFTED! WE LOVE YALL TEAMSTEREO!!! THIS IS NOT THE END :-)"
