The 19-year-old won a $5 million recording contract and the chance to star in her own commercial for the soft drinks giant when she triumphed in the debut season of the Fox singing competition in December.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: "I'm so excited about the Pepsi Commercial. It will be aired during the Super Bowl and so many big people like Mariah and Britney did it, Beyoncé did it.
"So many people have done this commercial, big names, and then after them will be 'Melanie Amaro did it'. I feel blessed and so grateful to be in a commercial, especially for Pepsi, and I feel that I'm following in the footsteps of those great divas."
However, the teenager remained tight-lipped on the concept of the commercial, saying that she'd prefer to "leave it as a surprise" until it airs during the Super Bowl.

As for whether her victory has sunk in yet, she said: "Sometimes I still feel as though I'm floating on a cloud and still sleeping. I have to remember I'm wide awake blessed and have a lot to look forward to."
Amaro, who was mentored by Simon Cowell on X Factor, recently signed a deal with Epic Records where she will work alongside X Factor judge LA Reid, the label's Chairman and CEO.
In a statement announcing the deal, Reid said: "I joined The X Factor to be able to discover undeniable talent such as Melanie. I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent and her inevitable journey to super-stardom."
X Factor has been renewed for a second season by Fox.
