The 'We Found Love' singer was rumoured to be taking on a judging role.
She joked to Daybreak: "I know, I haven't heard about that. I haven't had the call yet! I really didn't, I haven't heard about that."
Rihanna also revealed that her film acting debut in upcoming action movie Battleship was "really scary".
"It was nerve-wracking, really scary to go into something so new not really knowing what to expect or what to do," she said.
"You know, it was a learning experience, so at the same time I had to pull off the part, but it was also brand new for me. I just had to focus and get it done - there was no thinking about it."
On getting nervous about different projects, she said: "I get that anxiety just before I'm about to do something big or when everybody's going to be looking at me. When a room gets quiet like this just before the start of doing an interview, the butterflies do pop up."
She added: "I'm very competitive with myself and I take that through my career - I want to get better every time. The next step always has to be upward. I guess I'm relentless in that way when it comes to the way I work. I don't ever give up, or I feel guilty stopping for a little bit. But sometimes, it's good to stop."
Speaking about her personal life and her five-year plan, she added: "In the next five years, the only real plan I have is professional. I'm really looking forward to seeing what life brings for me."
Rihanna recently denied any romantic relationship with Two and a Half Men actor Ashton Kutcher.
