'The X Factor' USA: First live show of the season in pictures

The X Factor USA's live shows got underway on Wednesday evening (October 31), as new hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez introduced the Top 16 contestants in their first live performances.

Only 12 contestants will go forward to next week, with four eliminated by judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, LA Reid and Demi Lovato during a two-hour live show tomorrow (Thursday, November 1).
