The Voice Katrina Parker: I'm thankful Adam Levine heard the potential

The Voice contestant Katrina Parker has said that she is thankful Adam Levine turned his chair around during her blind audition.

The singer performed 'One of Us' on Monday night (February 13) and became a member of Team Adam when the Maroon 5 frontman pressed his button.

Levine told her: "I want something different and that's what I really heard. I think it was a very cool choice artistically. There were moments that weren't perfect - I'm sure you were nervous - but what was cool was it was different and I'm happy to coach you."



Speaking to social media correspondent Christina Milian afterwards, Parker said: "I'm pretty ecstatic. I'm actually quite shocked because I was very nervous and everything was coming out pitchy and a little funny.

"I remember thinking, 'No-one will turn around and I can't get control of this' and then boom. [Adam turned around] and then I couldn't get control because I was freaked out that someone had turned around!

"I almost lost it. It was incredible and absolutely shocking."

Parker added: "I'm so grateful Adam heard past the nervousness, past the cold, and heard the potential, because I know if I'm given a shot I can do much better things."
