Speaking to social media correspondent Christina Milian backstage, she said: "When I first walked on I was cool, calm and collected, and then people were cheering and I was like, 'Why is everyone so excited right now?'
"Then I realised half-way through my song that Blake and Cee Lo had turned around!"
Discussing her voice, she said: "I think I've always had a really unique voice... I aspire to have that unique sound and knock people off their seats - or [make them] turn around in their seats!
"Going in I'd chosen in my mind already Team Cee Lo, then whey they turned around I was like, 'Oh my gosh, this is really happening and I have to choose between the two'. I was sort of stalling because I didn't know what to do!"
The Voice airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
