The Green Day frontman entered a treatment facility for substance abuse problems yesterday (September 23), after he made an aggressive outburst during a Las Vegas gig with the band.
However, he will still feature on the NBC competition show as previously scheduled, reports Deadline.
"We're taped and all set," said an NBC representative.
Armstrong taped his appearance as a mentor to Christina Aguilera's team on the talent show this summer.
The singer shouted several expletives during the end of Green Day's set on Friday's iHeartRadio Festival, claiming at the time that their set was cut short.
However, the band later issued a statement denying that their gig was shortened, saying: "We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologise to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas.
"We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances."
Green Day release their new album ¡Uno! today (September 24) and is part of a trilogy of new albums along with ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!.
