"I was so happy that Hillary was interested in coming on The Voice to mentor my team," the Maroon 5 singer commented.

"She is an incredible performer and artist. I know my team will be able to learn a lot from her."

Scott echoed Levine's enthusiasm by saying she is "excited" to become a part of NBC's hit talent competition.

"It's an honour to mentor his team… he's going to have some tough choices to make," the Lady Antebellum musician declared.

Sheryl Crow was previously announced as a celebrity mentor for Blake Shelton's team earlier this month, with Crow saying she was "honoured" to work with Shelton.

The Voice's most recent winner Cassadee Pope – who was coached by Shelton – recently signed a record deal with Republic Nashville to release a full-length album.

NBC premieres the fourth cycle of The Voice in March.
