The annual reality show has performed well for the broadcaster in recent months, adding 7% to 2008's audience and averaging 7.1 million viewers per episode.
Big Brother's strong ratings make it one of the only summer reality competitions which has seen an audience growth this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Current showrunners Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan are expected to take the reins once again when the programme returns next summer.
The latest season will end with a two-hour finale on September 15.
