US to get double 'Brother', 'Kitchen'

Networks in the US are expected to run two seasons of both Big Brother and Hell's Kitchen this year because of the writers' strike.

Few scripted shows were available during the action so CBS decided to air a run of Brother, which is currently ongoing, in the winter. Fox lined up a Kitchen series for next month.

CBS, despite lacklustre ratings for the recent Brother, is said to be preparing for it to return in its usual summer slot as well. It has not announced a date for the year's second run, however.

Fox also has a second run of its reality offering lined up.
