The British actor described himself as a "giant fan" of the HBO fantasy drama in an interview with Collider.
"If there was a role that I could do alongside Sons then I would love to go work on that show," Hunnam revealed.
"[But] if it required jumping off of Sons, I absolutely wouldn't. I'm a loyal guy and I love Sons so I'm not leaving that for anything."
Misfits star Iwan Rheon was recently rumoured for a guest role on Game of Thrones.
Actors confirmed to star in the Emmy-nominated drama's third season include Dame Diana Rigg (The Avengers), Mackenzie Crook (The Office), Tara Fitzgerald (Waking the Dead), Tobias Menzies (Casino Royale), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Doctor Who) and Ellie Kendrick (Being Human).
Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody will also make a cameo in a future episode, it was revealed today (July 24).
