B.J. Novak to leave 'Office' cast

He requested a leave of absence to appear in the World War II movie, which the network granted.
As well as appearing as a regular cast member, Novak is also a co-executive producer and writer on the NBC sitcom.
One insider claimed that Novak may continue his behind-the-scenes involvement, although he is unlikely to return as a cast regular. "He may write more episodes, but as far as playing Ryan, I think he's ready to move on," they said.
