Speaking to Digital Spy at the Monte Carlo Television Festival this summer, Coleman explained that he had heard "rumblings" that he'd be back on the show following Robert's apparent admission that he is attracted to Oscar (Oscar Nunez).

Coleman also revealed that he wanted to play a character who is a "little bit salacious".
"I don't want to play earnest," he said. "I'd rather play somebody who's kind of sleazy. It's much more fun, especially in a comedy.
"You don't want to be some earnest guy who's just trying to do the right thing but can't. I want to be doing the wrong thing intentionally."
