HBO announces 'Boardwalk' premiere date

HBO has announced the premiere date for the Martin Scorsese-produced drama Boardwalk Empire.

According to Deadline, the Atlantic City series will debut Sunday, September 19 at 9pm.

The programme, which stars Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt and Kelly Macdonald, is based on Nelson Johnson's book Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City.
