'Boardwalk Empire' new season three trailer revealed - watch

A new season three trailer of Boardwalk Empire has been unveiled.

When Boardwalk Empire premieres on September 16, the story will take place 15 months after Steve Buscemi's Nucky Thompson character shot and killed Jimmy (Michael Pitt).



The trailer also focuses on new series regular Bobby Cannavale as gangster Gyp Rosetti, who isn't liked by Nucky.

"Gyp Rosetti is trouble for everyone that makes him bad for business," Nucky says.

It's followed by an angry Rosetti saying: "I need his blessing to make my way in the world. I need him to lecture me."

Another scene previews the relationship between Nucky and Margaret (Kelly Macdonald), who are now married.

Nucky tells Margaret: "There's no walking away. We go to war."

Season three of Boardwalk Empire premieres on Sunday, September 16 at 9pm ET on HBO.
