'Mad Men' season six: Don, Megan, Peggy, more in new promo shots

Mad Men's cast have appeared in four new black-and-white promotional shots ahead of the show's return in April.

Fans of the series may notice that January Jones's character Betty Francis displays a slimmed-down figure in the photographs, after a storyline last season which saw her character piling on weight in keeping with Jones's real-life pregnancy.



Kiernan Shipka also appears in the first of the new photos as Sally Draper, Jon Hamm as Don Draper and Jessica Paré as Don's new wife Megan Draper.

Elisabeth Moss stares down the camera lens as Peggy Olsen in a solo-focussed shot where the bodies of three men are in view around her.



The upcoming episodes - which also include John Slattery as Roger Sterling, Christina Hendricks as Joan Harris and Vincent Kartheiser as Pete Campbell - will move forward in time to the late 1960s.



Picking up after season five's 1967-set finale, the entire Mad Men cast aside from Jared Harris will be back.

Aaron Staton also stars as Ken Cosgrove, Rich Sommer as Harry Crane, and Robert Morse as Bertram Cooper.



It was reported last month that Mad Men's season six premiere will feature scenes of Don and Megan Draper on holiday in Hawaii.

Mad Men's two-hour season opener will air on Sunday, April 7 at 9/8c on AMC in the US. The show is broadcast on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
