The most recent instalment of the CW drama made it appear that Henry (Kristoffer Polaha) had killed his wife Gemma (Tara Summers).
"It was a decision that evolved to add tension to the structure of the show," executive producer Veasey told Zap2it. "But let's put it this way - we don't count her missing yet."
She continued: "It makes for interesting texture for Henry... who has to deal with this situation."
"There's blood on the wall, so you fill in the blanks however you want to," added Charmelo.
Charmelo also indicated that Henry will remain "a big part of this world" following the twist.
"Henry is a man on the verge," says Charmelo. "From the beginning, he's deprived of the one thing he wants more than anything. It will drive him to desperate measures."
Buffy's Amber Benson and Veronica Mars actor Jason Dohring have signed up for guest roles on Ringer.
The series continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW. Sky Living airs the show on Thursdays at 8pm in the UK.
