Polaha told Assignment X that the CW drama - starring Sarah Michelle Gellar - has come a long way since the pilot.
"The show is progressing better than I expected," he admitted. "I thought the pilot was good [and] I thought it served its job to get us picked up, to draw people into the series, but then literally, the following episode was twice as good."
He added: "It just keeps getting better and better and better. So it's met my expectations and exceeded them."
The actor also praised the performance of his co-star Gellar, who plays identical twins Bridget and Siobhan.
"She does all these little nuances," he said. "The difference between Sarah as Bridget and Sarah as Siobhan, it's subtle, but... she's definitely made significant choices to differentiate between the two."
Polaha previously hinted that viewers will learn more about his character Henry as Ringer's first season continues.
"Moving forward you get these glimpses of Henry and you wonder who he is and what he's about," said the star.
Ringer continues on continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW. Sky Living airs the show on Thursdays at 8pm in the UK.
