Fred Willard to guest in 'Modern Family'

According to TV Guide, the veteran actor will star as the father of Phil (Ty Burrell) in an upcoming episode of the ABC show.
It is believed that Willard will appear on a computer screen while having a webchat with Phil during the Christmas episode.
Other stars who have recently signed on for a guest stint include Shelley Long, Benjamin Bratt, Edward Norton and Minnie Driver.
Willard's episode will reportedly air on December 9.
