'Modern Family' season four video promo: First look

A new trailer for Modern Family's fourth season has been released by ABC.

The third season of the hit family comedy ended with the cliffhanger of Gloria's (Sofia Vergara) pregnancy and the new runs will centre on the fallout from her shock revelation.



The clip features Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) expressing pleasure at the news that Gloria may put on weight, while Phil (Ty Burrell) remains as in awe of the Colombian mum as ever.

Showrunner Christopher Lloyd revealed last month: "Gloria's pregnancy has repercussions throughout the family.

"Jay is unnerved about being a dad again and briefly sees a therapist.

"Gloria is in a bit of denial and refuses to stop wearing her usual clothes; and Manny is concerned the parenting duties will fall to him."

Modern Family returns to ABC in the US on Wednesday, September 26. It will air in the UK on Sky1.
