The former Hart to Hart actor will play the father of Michael Weatherly's Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, reports Entertainment Weekly. Wagner most recently had a recurring role on Two and a Half Men.
The 79-year-old is slated to appear on the 150th episode of NCIS, which airs in January.
Weatherly portrayed Wagner in 2004 TV movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood.
