Among the new shows joining the Alphabet network is Good Christian Belles, which has been renamed from its working title of Good Christian Bitches. The show stars Leslie Bibb as a single mother who returns to the neighbourhood where she grew up and will also feature performances from Kristin Chenoweth and David James Elliott.
Other pick-ups include Once Upon A Time, which features a cast including Robert Carlyle and Ginnifer Goodwin, and focuses on a young woman with a troubled past who moves to a town where the magic of fairytales appears to be real. Jennifer Morrison, who has landed the lead role, previously described the project as "very special".
Elsewhere, Revenge follows a young woman who moves to the Hamptons to avenge her family, while The River sees a group of people travel to the Amazon to search for a missing television explorer. Scandal, from Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice creator Shonda Rhimes, stars Kerry Washington as a professional fixer.
Another ABC drama pick-up, Pan Am, focuses on the cabin crew and pilots working for the famous airline in the 1960s. Christina Ricci is among the stars taking part in the series.
The programmes wil be joined by ABC's reboot of Charlie's Angels, which stars Rachael Taylor, Minka Kelly and Annie Ilonzeh.
