By
Pan Am could be revived by Amazon, a report suggests.

The '60s-set drama was cancelled by ABC after a single season, with Amazon carrying the show's 14 episodes.

The site is now keen to order a second season and has entered early talks with Sony Pictures Television, reports Deadline.

Amazon - which already streams a number of television series - is apparently eager to move into original programming, following the example of Hulu and Netflix.

Pan Am was previously rumoured to be moving to cable, with Sony showing a renewed interest in the show after it won the prestigious Golden Rose award at the Rose d'Or Festival.

ABC recently passed on drama pilot Scruples starring Pan Am's Karine Vanasse (Colette) but Colin Donnell (Mike Ruskin) is to star in new CW superhero series Arrow.

It was previously announced that ABC's Cougar Town will move to TBS for a fourth season, while Netflix expressed an interest in picking up axed paranormal drama The River.
