The first half of the AMC drama's final season will be available on an exclusive subscription basis for Netflix members to watch instantly in the UK & Ireland from November 1.
Only the first two seasons of Breaking Bad have ever been screened on UK television, with the third, fourth and now fifth seasons being made exclusively available via Netflix.
"We are thrilled to bring these highly-anticipated new Breaking Bad episodes on a first-run basis to Netflix members in the UK and Ireland," said Kelly Merryman, vice president of content acquisition.
"Season four broke viewing records for us across the board and we expect fans of the show to be even more excited about season 5 part 1 becoming available so soon after their premiere on television in the United States."
The first four seasons are also available to buy on DVD, both individually and as a complete boxset exclusive to Amazon.co.uk.
Breaking Bad will air its final eight episodes on US television in summer 2013, with star Aaron Paul telling Digital Spy that he expects the last season to be "the most intense yet".
"I'm really excited, and somewhat devastated, to see how it all ends," said the actor, who plays Jesse Pinkman on the show.
