A new trailer for the upcoming third season of Treme has been unveiled.
The video features most of the show's original cast including Oscar winner Melissa Leo, Steve Zahn, Rob Brown, Clarke Peters and Wendell Pierce.
Treme's third season was previously pushed back from its April premiere date, and will now return on September 23 at 10pm ET on HBO.
The New Orleans-set series creator David Simon revealed that an end date has been pitched to HBO, likely meaning that the series will end its run after four seasons.
When its freshman year debuted in April 2010, Treme was set three months after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005.
Simon previously said that he wants people to discuss the series and doesn't argue with critics because he wants Treme to be analysed.
"I don't argue with critics because we want to be considered," he explained. "We want to be criticised.
"The only times you see me picking a fight with critics is when I challenge standing, somebody's right to tell a story, or when they argue that a story is inaccurate with facts. Only then do I feel the need to jump in."
