The Good Wife co-creator Robert King has revealed details about Tim Guinee's upcoming role on the show.

It was announced in November that the Lie To Me star will play a potentially recurring role in the latter half of the second season.

King told TVLine: "Tim Guinee has the very funny part of Wiley, a stay-at-home dad who is dragged back into being an investigator for the state's attorney. It's as if Columbo had an 18-month-old."

The producer added that Wiley will cause problems for private investigators Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and Blake (Scott Porter).

"[He will] be a threat to Kalinda and Blake," confirmed King. "These three could hurt and help each other in so many different ways."

The Good Wife returns to CBS on January 11.
