Cary returned to law firm Lockhart Gardner at the conclusion of the CBS drama's third season.
"I'm happy to be back, absolutely," Czuchry told Vulture. "It's the right time."
The actor revealed that he was aware of "a very rough outline" for season four, hinting that a rekindling of the relationship between Cary and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) could happen.
"Romance is certainly possible," he hinted. "It being really, really complicated is even more possible."
The Good Wife co-creator Robert King previously claimed that Cary and Kalinda's future is uncertain.
"In many ways, Cary feels very hurt by the fact that Kalinda pushed [for something to happen] and then pulled back," he explained. "Is there enough sense for them to give another go of it? That I don't have an answer for."
The Good Wife returns to Sundays at 9/8c in the fall. The series airs on More4 in the UK.
